Advanced Traffic Control, Inc. is currently seeking a highly qualified Traffic Control Technician to join our team. As a Traffic Control Technician with our company, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic through road construction sites. You will be tasked with directing motorists, pedestrians, and other traffic around construction zones, utilizing specialized traffic control equipment and procedures to ensure safety and minimize delays. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team will be crucial in successfully fulfilling this role.

Your knowledge of state traffic regulations and exceptional observation skills will be essential in identifying potential hazards and taking the necessary steps to mitigate them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have the knowledge and experience to communicate with other flaggers/traffic controllers using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane.
- Inform and alert our team crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
- Appropriately position warning and detour signs around construction sites to ensure the safety of both construction workers and motorists.
- Inspect and set up barricades and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off certain areas in a safe and effective manner.
- Ensure that all signs, barricades, and traffic cones are removed safely and efficiently upon completion of construction work.
- Assist the construction crew in the removal of rubble, debris, and hazardous materials as necessary.
- Record the license plate numbers of motorists who neglect to obey traffic signs and directions to ensure that proper actions are taken.
